Apostila Básica de LCD
Em continuação aos Treinamentos de manutenção de Monitores vamos estudar o conceito básico dos Monitores de LCD em sua teoria Básica. Comparação entre Monitores de CRT Convencional e LCD
Os dois tipos comuns de monitores que estão sendo usados hoje são CRT (Tubo de Raio de Catodo) monitores e LCD (Display de Cristal Líquido) . Os monitores de tipo de CRT são os monitores tradicionais que nós temos usados por anos. Os monitores de tipo de LCD são baseados em uma mais nova tecnologia e estão tornando muito popular, principalmente porque eles têm grande economia de energia e muitas outras vantagens acima de monitores de CRT.
O CRT e monitores de LCD são baseados em tecnologias completamente diferentes, e deste modo tenham características de vídeo bastante diferentes.
Tamanho físico
Umas das grandes vantagens de monitores de LGD é que eles são compactos e de peso leve. Um monitor de LCD é baseado em uma tela muito fina ao invés do tubo vultoso de um monitor de CRT.
Isto significa que não só eles começam a estar nos seus Desktop devido ao se tamanho como espaço como também podem ser usados em muitos lugares onde um monitor de CRT não pode ser montado. Mostrado abaixo estão temos um monitor de 12.1" MONITOR de LCD com uma espessura apenas de um terço do típico monitor de 14" com uso de CRT.

Tamanho de vídeo.
Graças a alta tecnologia do LCD, monitores de LCD de painel plano estão agora disponíveis no mercado e são comparáveis em tamanho de tela com monitores de CRT tradicional. Mostrado aqui, um 12.1" VÍDEO de LCD (esquerda) tem só um ligeiramente menor área comparado a um típico MONITOR de 14¨ de CRT. Mais novos, monitores de LCD MAIORES também estão aparecendo que têm 15", 17", e tamanhos de tela muito maior que são comparáveis para os maiores monitores de CRT. Uma diferença básica pode ser notada é que os monitores de LCD são precisamente de tamanhos de sua tela. viewable) medida em diagonal.
Por exemplo, o viewable área em um MONITOR de 17" de LCD tipicamente medirá 17" diagonalmente, mas o viewable área em um monitor de CRT tipicamente só medirá 16" diagonalmente.
Cores.
Na maioria dos monitores de CRT são qualificados de exibir cores ilimitadas. Diferentemente de monitores de LCD que são qualificados de centenas ou milhares de cores, embora muitos dos mais novos LCD são qualificado de cores ilimitadas.
Resolução.
Um assunto importante com respeito aos monitores de LCD é resolução. Os monitores de CRT são normalmente qualificados de exibir resoluções de vídeo múltiplo, cada com a mesma qualidade, porem os monitores de LCD normalmente tem o que chamamos de uma Alta resolução, ou a resolução em que os sinais de vídeos tem alta resposta de freqüências.
Brilho.
Tipicamente, brilho não é uma preocupação com monitores de CRT. Porem os monitores de LCD são backlit e têm níveis diferentes de brilho. O brilho para o monitor de LCD é também chamado de 'lêndeas ', e comumente variem de 70 até 250 lêndeas, quanto mais altas as lêndeas, mais brilhante é o vídeo.

Visualizando Ângulo.
Outro assunto com relação ao monitor de LCD é o visualização do ângulo. Uma tela de CRT pode ser olhada de um ângulo muito largo, praticamente de todo os lados, mas um monitor de LCD tipicamente tem um menor visualizando ângulo, precisando ser visualizado mais diretamente da frente. Do lado, a imagem em uma tela de LCD pode aparecer ou desaparecer, ou inverter cores. Mais novos monitores de LCD que estão sendo desenvolvidos como os de matriz ativa têm um maior campo de visão angular.
Vantagens do LCD sobre o CRT. Baixo consumo de energia e de Radiação
Além de serem compactos e ocuparem pequenos espaços, os monitores de LCD oferecem vários outros benefícios. Os monitores de LCD possuem um menor consumo de energia se comparado monitores de CRT. Este faz o LCD grande para computadores portáteis e portáteis. Secundariamente, MONITORES de CRT são conhecidos como emissores de radiação sendo prejudicial a visão, diferentemente dos monitores de LCD que tem radiação.
Desvantagens do LCD sobre o CRT. Preços.
Os monitores de CRT são geralmente mais disponíveis que monitores de LCD e com preços abaixo. No passado LCD monitores têm sido muito caros mas seus custos vieram caindo bastante nos últimos anos. Porém as empresas estão se preocupando com o custo beneficio o que esta aumentando a procura por monitores LCD.
