Dear Traveler,

Follow the trade winds on the route traversed by the early explorers, who traced this path across the Atlantic Ocean throughout the centuries in their quest for discovery, leaving colonial villages and landmarks that exist to this day. Enjoying incredible 2-for-1 pricing, set sail on this expansive journey from Casablanca to Rio de Janeiro. Travel down the West African coast and embrace your inner explorer as you cross the Atlantic and visit the vibrant ports of the South American shoreline.

Explore first enchanting Casablanca and laayoune (and the Saharan dunes) before sailing to the rarely visited volcanic archipelago of the Cape Verde Islands, with their remarkable fusion of Portuguese and West African traditions. Then cross the Atlantic to discover the fantastic, multicultural marvel that is Brazil’s northeastern coast. In the colonial cities of recife, olinda, and Salvador (the latter two designated as UNESCO World Heritage sites), Salvador (the latter two designated as UNESCO World Heritage sites), Salvadordiscover Dutch, Portuguese, Native American, and West African influences blended in a wonderful assemblage of old town squares, pastel mansions, and musical street life. Disembark in rio de Janeiro—the “Cidade Maravilhosa” (“Marvelous City”)—a fitting, dynamic conclusion to this spirited transatlantic voyage.
