I hope this letter finds you well.

The 10th Asian ITF Taekwon-Do Championships will be held in Beijing from August

13-21, 2020. As the President of the China ITF, it is my great honor and pleasure to

welcome all the family members of ATF to China for this Championships in Beijing,

the capital of China.

China ITF hopes to cooperate with you to make “the 10th Asian ITF Taekwon-Do

Championships” as one of the highest satisfaction international events in the ATF

history with the most participating countries, the largest competition scale and the

best service level.

Beijing is the capital of the People's Republic of China, is the world famous

historical city, cultural city, the political, economic, transportation and cultural

center of China. There have a long history and splendid culture, rich heritage of

the unique human landscape. I hope you will enjoy a pleasant and memorable

experience in Beijing, China.

FEE

Competition entry fee: USD 100 per participant

It is the participant’s responsibility to have full insurance coverage for all

eventualities. China ITF and organizer will not be responsible for any injury or loss

for the participants, before, during and after the Championship.

Notice：If there are more than 15 competitors from each participating country,

China ITF will provide free accommodation and transportation expenses (7 days

and 6 nights) for 1 team leader or 1 coach during the championship in Beijing.

PARTICIPANTS

Only ITF affiliated NGBs and ITF registered black belt holders can participate in

Championship. The degree and age of competitors must be valid on their degree

certificates and passports. Competitors must present their ITF Black belt degree

card and national passport at the registration.

COMPETITORS:

• Two (2) competitors each category in Children Competitions 8-10 years old.

• Two (2) competitors each category in Children Competitions 11-13 years old.

• Two (2) competitors each category in Junior Competitions 14-15 years old.

• Two (2) competitors each category in Junior Competitions 16-17 years old.

• Two (2) competitors each category in Adult Competitions 18-39 years old.





• Three (3) competitors each category in Veteran Competitions 40-49 years old

(Silver Class).

• Three (3) competitors each category in Veteran Competitions 50-59 years old

(Gold Class).

• Teams must consist of five (5) competitors + 1 reserve (optional), not necessarily.

Chosen out of the individual competitors. The same five (5) must compete in all

the team events.

• Competitors must present their I.T.F. Black Belt Degree card and National

Passport at the Weigh-In. / Children of 8-13 age not necessary Black belt.

• Children Competitions and Junior Competitions must be at the age of 8 to 17

years on the first day of registration i.e. 13rd Aug. 2020.

• Adult must be at the age of 18 or above on the first day of registration i.e. 13rd

Aug. 2020.

• Competitors must wear the official I.T.F. Dobok. ( Advance reservation can be

made to China ITF. The reservation email address is the same as the registration

email address)

• Competitors must be in possession of a Blue and a Red set of approved type

safety equipment. Other colors will not be allowed.

COACHES:

• Only one (1) coach is allowed in the square during matches.





• He/she must wear a tracksuit and gymnastic shoes.

• The coach is the only person who can make an official protest.

• A maximum of four (4) coaches per country are allowed to participate.

UMPIRES:

• The Organizing Committee will pay 6 days/5 night’s Hotel accommodation for

ITF Qualified Official Umpires per country (no drinks and city & international

telephone call included)

• A maximum of six (6) Umpires per country are allowed to officiate in the event:

3 Official Umpires, 1 Standby Umpire and 2 Self Paying Umpires.

The Standby Umpire will become an Official Umpire if there is any Official

Umpire from another country who wish to cancel his trip to the event. Then their

accommodation and meals will be provided by the Organizing Committee. If the

Official Umpire list full. Then the Standby Umpires, if they still wish to come and

serve in the event, they can come as Self Paying Umpires. They will have to pay for

their own accommodation and meals.

Self Paying Umpires wishing to participate must pay for the Hotel accommodation

at their own expenses according to the arrangements detailed above.

• Countries without a qualified Umpire must pay for a penalty fee of USD 200.00

to the Organizing Committee.

• Umpires will be required to carry out their duties as scheduled.





• Umpires must attend all the Umpire Meetings scheduled in the period of the

event.

• The Organizing Committee will dismiss any Umpires who do not abide by the

work schedules or guidelines and such Umpires will have to pay for the hotel

accommodation and meals by themselves.

• The Umpire’s dress code will consist of the Navy blue blazer jacket, White long

sleeved shirt, Navy blue trousers, Navy blue necktie, White short socks and White

sport shoes as laid down in the Umpire rules.

COMPETITIONS RULES:

ITF Tournament and Umpire Rules will be applied in competition for both

individual and team events (including Pattern, Sparring, Special Technique, Power

Breaking, and Self-defense Routine).

Age groups, weight classes and qualifying divisions of the participants.

Competitions are held in age groups: 08-10 years old, 11-13 years old, 14-15

years old, 16-17 years old, 18-39 years old, 40-49 years old, 50-59 years old.

Notice:

1. The competition for Children (8-10years old and 11-13 years old), Junior (14-15

years old and 16-17 years old) and Veteran (40-49 years old and 50-59 years

old), adopts the old version of the ITF Tournament Rules (single elimination

system), not the pyramid system.





2. The competition for Adult (18-39 years old) adopts the latest ITF Tournament

Rules (pyramid system).

The Championship will have the following events:

Individual: Individual Pattern, Individual Sparring, Individual Special Techniques,

Individual Power Breaking.

Team: Team Pattern, Team Sparring, Team Special Techniques,

Team Power Breaking, Self-defense.

NATIONAL ANTHEM AND NATIONAL FLAG

Every Country should bring their National Anthem on USB and one National Flag

and deliver them to the Organizing Committee at the meeting point. The size of

the flag should be approximately 100 cm x 150 cm. Timing of Anthem and hoist of





flag will be within 30 to 45 sec.

VISA

Countries in need of China visa should contact the nearest Chinese Consulate and

find out about the visa requirements as they vary depending on the country where

the visa is being issued. We would advise that you do that well in advance of your

trip as it might take much time.

It is much easier and quicker to get your visa if you travel as a tourist. In that case

you should apply for a tourist visa and indicate the purpose of your trip as tourism

in your visa application form.

ACCOMMODATION

The accommodation package includes:

• Registration and Championship ID Card

• Transport from Airport to Hotel, on arrival & departure.

• Transport from Hotel to and from the Championship’s Venue every day.

• Full Board Arrangement, i.e. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner (No drinks included).

• Accommodation and hotel facilities.





• Free entrance to the Arena.

• Medical assistance during the days of competition (Only for competitors).

Countries not booking accommodation through the Organizer MUST PAY an

accreditation fee of 300 USD per person to obtain the ID CARD.

Every participating country has to make a non-refundable prepayment of 100 USD

per each member of the delegation to the bank account of the Organizing

Committee before 10th Jun. 2020. This partial prepayment will be taken into

consideration when receiving final payments in cash at the registration point. For

information about sending payment as a deposit, please contact e-mail:

NOTE

- A deposit of USD 100 per person must be paid on before 10th Jun. 2020 and

the Final Payments must be made in cash at the meeting point. Without deposit

the Organizing committee cannot guarantee the special prices for accommodation

packages and the price will be higher – 10 USD/per person for each

accommodation day.

- Countries not booking accommodation through the Organizer MUST PAY an





accreditation fee of 300 USD per person to obtain the ID CARD.

- The N.G.B. that fails to submit its all application forms by the deadline will have

to pay a penalty of 150 USD.

- Any N.G.B. that has not submitted its entry form at all up to 5 days before the

Championship will have to pay a penalty of 300 USD.

- An application changed after deadline will be penalized by a charge of 100

USD.

- All the participants must pay in USD cash for all kinds of payments.
