    Lollipops Set 1

    One o the items I picked out were dumdums lollipops. Tese have a sturdy paperstick attached to a small round hard candy.Each lollipop has a dierent paper wrappercovering the candy, each with its own colorand avor. Te paper is waxy in textureand the graphics make them look playuland un . Te candy end would make or aninteresting looking seri.

    Halloween Rings Set 1

    Te second set o items I chose were hal-loween candy rings. Te bag I picked outhad an assortment o a ew dierent kinds,

    ranging rom black bats, to white skulls,to orange spiders. Tey are all made o arubbery material. Tis makes it easy to cuto the ring side o each one so it would beeasier to lay them right side up. It would beinteresting to see what kind o shapes andletters I can make out rom each ring.

    Ribbon Set 1

    Te third item I chose was wire-edgedribbon. Tis ribbon is very wide, and has a

    wired edge that allows me to bend them asi please. Te area in between the wire is al-most see though. It is black in color, but hasglitter embedded in it that gives it a spar-kling appearance. I can see mysel trying tomake thick, bold letters out o this item.

    weight: Light. Te stick side is fairly light, butthe candy end is where most o the weight is.Altogether it weighs no more than a ew ounces. texture: Te paper is made of some sort of waxymaterial. Te stick is paper like in quality and is

    very smooth. Te candy is sticky and hard, withrough edges. It can also be sticky i wet. smell: Each candy, depending on their avor,has their own sweet scent, ranging rom ruitpunch, blueberry, cotton candy, mango, grape,watermelon, and others. taste: Tey all taste really sweet and sugary.Tey each have their own unique taste, depend-ing on what avor they were made into with the

    same range as I mentioned in smell. size: Candy: Round, Spherical, almost an inchwide Stem: Cylinder, thin, almost two incheslong. When together, they extend out about thesize of my palm.Inherent Properties: sweet, estive, colorul, un,

    vibrant, articial, bubbly, sugary, ruity

    4. Raw Materials/Processes:1.avored sucrose and corn syrup, sugar, water,coloring, citric and malic acid.

    2.Sugar and water are heated together and put ina pre-cooker. Corn syrup is added and heated to228 degrees Fahrenheit. Ten it is sent to a nal

    cooker and heated to 290 degrees Fahrenheit. A-ter that, ood coloring and avoring, such as thecitric and malic acid, are added. Tis mixture issent to a kneading machine to mix it all togeth-er, and also creating bubbles to make it easier to

    break. Finally, it is sent to a machine making it

    into a ropelike shape, where it is either wrappedaround the stick by hand or machine.

    5. Parts: 1.Tere is a spherical hard candy part,

    the wrapper, and a paper stick part. 2.Te wrap-per is airly easy to take o o the hard candy.

    3.Te issue came when I tried taking the candyo the stick. Te candy is really stuck to it, so the

    only way I could take it o without breaking itwas to break the stick o. 4.I I want to take thecandy completely o, I needed to break it with

    a hammer. All that is lef are shattered pieces ocandy. Some pieces are big, while other are tiny

    and small, almost like rock candy.

    ConceptTe title o my lollipop typeace will be

    Pop Burst because since the lollipops arebroken up and so colorul, it looks like theyare bursting out o the page. Plus, it looksestive and happy, and I eel that the titlerelates well with the look.
