APPOINTMENT ADMISSION

You should arrive 30 minutes before the hour of your appointment in order to be

admitted on time by the secretary.

APPOINTMENT DELAYS

If your delay is superior or equal to 5 minutes for acute disease appointments or superior or equal to 10 minutes for normal

bookings, the nurse and the doctor will consider you absent and might not be able

to see you that day.

statement of the Order of Physicians and the College of General and Family Medicine);

5/2007); • Registration in nursery until 3 years old

Medical exam transcription from other entities:

• The transcription of medical exames prescribed by other entities of forbidden (Despacho 10430/2011).

USF Areeiro ensures continuous training of its professionals and participates in the training of pre and post-graduate elements.

ACUTE DISEASE APPOINTMENT

Appointment for acute complaints according to specific criteria or acute worsening of chronic diseases. It has to be booked on the same day and should be booked by the patient himself. The booking will be for the first available slot. This appointment might not be with the family doctor since it is an urgent one . Please note: if you book this appointment for other reasons than the ones mentioned above, the doctor will not consult you and you will not receive your appointment payment back. The following ARE NOT motives for acute disease appointment:

• Medical reports and certificates; • Medical exam prescription; • Evaluation of exam results; • Chronic medication prescription renovation.

CHRONIC MEDICATION PRESCRIPTION RENOVATION

Prescription of medication which the patient takes chronically. This medication must be in the patient clinical file.

The prescription will be available in 72 working hours.

Please note: if the doctor refuses the prescription request because it isn’t in the patient’s clinical file or it doesn’t meet the criteria for chronic medication, the payment fee will not be refunded.
