Safety Notes

Read all the following Safety Notes before working with this product. These notes include important information about the installation, usage, and maintenance of this product. This product contains no user-serviceable parts. Any reference to servicing in this User Manual will only apply to properly trained Rasha certified technicians. Do not open the housing or attempt any repairs. All applicable local codes and regulations apply to proper installation of this product.

Personal Safety

Avoid direct eye exposure to the light source while the product is on. Always disconnect this product from its power source before servicing. Always connect this product to a grounded circuit to avoid the risk of electrocution. Do not touch this product’s housing during operation because it may be very hot.

Rigging

This product is for indoor use only! To prevent risk of fire or shock, do not expose this product to rain or moisture. (IP20) CAUTION: When transferring product from extreme temperature environments, (e.g. cold truck to warm humid ballroom) condensation may form on the internal electronics of the product. To avoid causing a failure, allow product to fully acclimate to the surrounding environment before connecting it to power. Mount this product in a location with adequate ventilation, at least 20 in (50 cm) from adjacent surfaces. Make sure there are no flammable materials close to this product while it is operating. Always carry this product by the handles. Do not carry from the head. When hanging this product, always secure to a fastening device using a safety cable.

Power And Wiring

Always make sure you are connecting this product to the proper voltage in accordance with the specifications in this manual or on the product’s specification label. Never connect this product to a dimmer pack or rheostat. Never disconnect this product by pulling or tugging on the power cable.

Operation

Do not operate this product if you see damage to the housing, lenses, or cables. Have the damaged parts replaced by an authorized technician at once. To eliminate unnecessary wear and improve its lifespan, during periods of non-use completely disconnect the product from power via breaker or by unplugging it. Do not cover the ventilation slots when operating to avoid internal overheating. Do not aim this product toward the Sun. The lenses could concentrate the solar energy and cause internal overheating. The maximum ambient temperature is 113 °F (45 °C). Do not operate this product at a higher temperature. In case of a serious operating problem, stop using this product immediately!

Penta R12 Wireless Flat Par it has built in 2.4 GHz wireless DMX receiver, static RED, GREEN, BLUE, AMBER and WHITE color, with the ablity to custom mix color. Penta R12 Wireless Flat Par delivers stunning RGBAW colors and nearly eliminate multicolored shadows. User can set fixtures at any events, theater, bar, or any entertainment industry wiht the ablitly to control up to 20 Fixtures* by DMX wirelessly.

SETUPPower Supply

Each Penta R12 Wireless Flat Par has an auto-ranging power supply that works with an input voltage range of 100 to 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz. To determine the power requirements for each Penta R12 Wireless Flat Par refer to the label affixed to the product. You can also refer to the Technical Specifications chart in this manual. The listed current rating indicates the maximum current draw during normal operation. For more information, you may download Sizing Circuit Breakers from the Rasha website: www.rashaprofessional.com

Always connect this product to a protected circuit with an appropriate electrical ground to avoid the risk of electrocution or fire. To eliminate unnecessary wear and improve its lifespan, during periods of non-use completely disconnect the product from power via breaker or by unplugging it.

Never connect this product to a rheostat (variable resistor) or dimmer circuit, even if the rheostat or dimmer channel serves only as a 0 to 100% switch.

AC Plug The Penta R12 Wireless Flat Par comes with a power input cord terminated with an Edison Connector (U.S. market). If the power input cord that came with your product has no plug, or if you need to change the Edison plug, use the table below to wire the new plug.

Fuse Replacement

1. Disconnect this product from the power outlet.2. Using a flat-head screwdriver, lift the fuse holder cap from the housing.3. Remove the blown fuse and replace with a another fuse of the same

type and rating (T 5 A).4. press the fuse holder cap back in place and reconnect power.

Make sure to disconnect the product’s power cord before replacing a blown fuse. Always replace the blown fuse with another of the same type and rating

Power Linking You can link 22 Fixtures @ 110V and 33 fixtures @ 220V.

DMXPersonalities

• The Penta R12 Wireless Flat Par uses a 3- or 5-pin DMX data connection for the 6 or 11 channel DMX personalities.

• Refer to the Introduction chapter for a brief description of each DMX personality.

• Refer to the Operation chapter to learn how to configure the Penta R12 Wireless Flat Par to work in these personalities.

• The DMX Values section provides you with detailed information regarding the DMX personalities

Orientation Always mount this product in a safe position and make sure there is adequate room for ventilation, configuration, and maintenance

Rigging

Rasha recommends using the following general guidelines when mounting this product.

• When selecting an installation location, consider easy access to this product for operation, programming adjustments, and routine maintenance.

• Make sure to mount this product away from any flammable material as indicated in the Safety Notes.

• Never mount in places where rain, high humidity, extreme temperature changes, or restricted ventilation may affect the product.

• If hanging this product, make sure that the mounting location can support the product’s weight. See the Technical Specifications for the weight-bearing requirements of this product.

• When hanging this product, always secure to a fastening device using a safety cable.

Procedures

The Penta R12 Wireless Flat Par comes with a preinstalled mounting surface to which you will be able to attach most of our clamps found at www.rashaprofessional.com/en/accesories. Make sure the clamps are capable of supporting the weight of this product. Use at least 1 mounting point per product. In addition, use a safety cable to link the product to the structure.

DMX ADDRESSINGTo set the fixture’s DMX address:

1. Select Addr and press the ENTER button.

2. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to select a DMX address.

3. Once the address has been selected, press the ENTER

button to set it display appears Addr (or, to return to a higher

level of the menu structure without any change press the

MENU or up button).

DMX CHANNEL MODES1. 1. Select CHND and press the ENTER button.

2. Use the DOWN and UP buttons to select the 6CH or 11CH

DMX channel mode.

FIXTURE MODE1. Select SLND and press the ENTER button.

mode and Press Enter.

3. Once set SLND, display will show STBY after some seconds, if

choose NAST mode display will show chosed static option.

SHOW MODE1. SH O=Random scenes and effects (requires sound activation

to be enabled).

2. COLO - Shows one of 38 preset colors with no scene

changes. Colors are with full range dimming.

(sound activation has no effect)

3. FADE - Color changes - fast (SP1) to slow (SP3).

(sound activation)

4. FLSH - Strobe speed- slow(1) to fast(255) -

(Colo mode activation and choose color to be enabled)

DIMMER MODESFor DMX control, there are four possible settings for controlling

the rate of dimming.

DI 1 - LINEAR - The increase in light intensity appears to be

linear as DMX value is increased

DI 2 - SQUARE LAW - light intensity control is finer at low levels

and coarser at high levels.

DI 4 - INVERSE SQUARE LAW - light intensity control is coarser

at low levels and finer at high levels.

DI 4 - S-CURVE - light intensity control is finer at low levels and

high levels and coarser at medium levels.

To set the fixture’s dimmer curve:

1. Select DINN and press the ENTER button to confirm. The present mode will blink on

the display.

2. Use the DOWN and UP buttons to select: DI I or DI 2 or DI 3 or DI 4

3. Once the mode has been selected, press the ENTER button to set it.

SOUND ACTIVATIONThe fixture has a built-in microphone that can be used to synchronize

its behavior to the beat of music. When the fixture is not

connected to a DMX controller, and is running in Show Mode, it can be set to trigger

scene changesm (effects and color changes) in synch with music.

To turn on/off sound activation:

1. Select Soun and press the ENTER button.

2. Use the DOWN and UP buttons to select on OR Off.

3. Once the mode has been selected, press the ENTER button to

set it.

MICROPHONE SENSITIVITYTo adjust the sensitivity of the sound-activation microphone

1. Select SenS and press the ENTER button.

2. Use the DOWN and UP buttons to change the sound sense from 0 -100.

3. Once the level has been selected, press the ENTER button to set it (or, to

return to a higher level of the menu structure without any change press the

MENU button).

BLACKOUTYou can blackout the fixture using the control menu:

1. Select BLND and press the ENTER button.

2. Use the DOWN and UP buttons to select YES or NO. Press

the ENTER button to set.

LED DISPLAY ON/OFFTo set the LED display to be on all the time, or to automatically switch off

after 10 seconds when not in use:

1. Select Led menu and press the ENTER button.

2.Use the DOWN and UP buttons to select the ON (LED on) or

OFF (LED off

when not in use). Press the ENTER button to set.

LED DISPLAY INVERSIONTo invert the LED display:

1. Select DISP menu and press the ENTER button.

2. Use the DOWN and UP buttons to select the (normal display

orientation) or (invert display). Press the ENTER button to set

AUTO TESTTo perform a complete test of all of the fixture functions

1. Select Test and press the ENTER button. The fixture will run a

self-test routine.

FIXTURE TIMETo display the fixture’s operating hours counter:

1. Select Fhr5 and press the ENTER button. The display will

show thenumber of hours the unit has been run.

FIRMWARE VERSIONTo display the fixture’s installed firmware version number

1. Intro

Operating through an DMX controller gives the user the freedom to create their own

programs tailored to their own individual needs. Follow the directions below to set your

DMX Mode and address.

1. Before connecting to DMX controller, your fixture has different DMX channel modes;

please select your desired DMX Channel mode by pressing the MENU button button,

then using the “Up” or “Down” buttons to scroll to CHND. Press ENTER to access

seconday menu. Select the desired channel and press ENTER to set the mode before

you address the fixture.

2. After you have selected your mode, set the wireless DMX wireless reciever. The built-

in reciever must be addressed to the same frequency as your transmitter. Press the

ID code Selector Button (2) until the Wireless Signal LED color (3) matches both the

transmitter and your fixture.
