    Histria e uso atual

As verses eletrnicas e as publicaes suplementares na Web so as principais

fontes de atualizaes constantes da CDD. No site do Dewey (www.oclc.org/dewey), novos nmeros selecionados e alteraes CDD so publicados

Oprimeiro sumriocontm as dez classes principais.

A influncia

    600 Tecnologia

    630 Agricultura e tecnologias relacionadas636 Animal husbandry

    636.7 Pecuria

    636.8 Gatos

Ces e Gatos so mais especficos do que (isto , so subordinados a) "Pecuria"; so igualmente especficos (isto , so coordenados com) entre

As

    (F) Tabelas: Seis tabelas numeradas de notao que podem ser adicionadas aos nmeros de classe para oferecer maior especificidade

    (G) Listas que comparam as Edies 21 e 22: Realocaes e nmeros suspensos;

    Nmeros reutilizados

    (J) Programas: A organizao do conhecimento de 600 a 999

    olume 4

    (K) ndice relativo: Uma lista alfabtica de assuntos com as disciplinas em que so tratados, suborganizados alfabeticamente sob cada entrada

    Entradas

Nmeros entre colchetes nunca so usados.
