PhotonIcs & Electromagnetics Research Symposium
(PIERS), formerly known as Progress In Electromagnetics
Research Symposium, provides an international forum for
reporting progress and recent advances in the modern
development of electromagnetic theory and its new and
exciting applications since 1989. Topics include radiation,
propagation, diraction, scattering, guidance, resonance,
power, energy and force issues, and all other modern
developments, with spectra ranging from statics to RF,
microwave, photonics, and beyond.
The Symposium is organized in 5 thematic areas with
about 200 scientific oral sessions and 6 scientific poster
sessions; 36 focus sessions are also planned. Over 1700
Researchers and Professors from over 60 countries will
participate at PIERS 2019 in Rome.
To encourage young scientists and students to take part
in PIERS with presentations of good research results, two
awards are organized: Best Student Paper Award (BSPA),
dedicated to any full-time university student; Young
Scientist Award (YSA), dedicated to under 40 years of age
Researchers with a Ph.D degree in science/engineering.
