Kruger National Park is one of the largest game reserves inAfrica;

It is one of the largest national parks in the world;

It covers about 19 square kilometres and extends 360 kilometers

from north to south and 65 kilometers from east to west;

The park has 9 main gates that allow entrance to the different

camps.

The park lies in the north-east of South

Africa, in the eastern parts of Limpopo

and Mpumalanga provinces;

The highest point in the park is called

Khandzalive. Several rivers run through

the park from west to east, including the

Sabie, Olifants, Crocodile, Letaba,

Luvuvhu and Limpopo rivers.

The climate is subtropical;

Summer days are humid and hot with temperatures often soaring to above

38 C;

The rainy season is from September until May;

The dry winter season is the ideal time to visit this region for various

reasons. There is less chance of contracting malaria and the days are milder.

Altogether it has roughly 1,982 species of plants.

Vegetation

Plant life in the park consists of four main areas:

Thorn Trees and Red Bush-willow veld;

Knob-thorn and Marula Veld;

Red Bush-willow and Mopane Veld;

Shrub Mopane Veld.

Out of the 517 species of birds found at Kruger, 253 are residents,

117 non-breeding migrants, and 147 nomads.

In the hours to be determined locally, leaving the Hotel Tourism Maputo

overland transport to the Kruger National Park;

Arrival at the Pestana Kruger Lodge.

3rd and 4ft days Kruger National Park

Stay in half board, with safari per day, half day (approx. 6 hours) included.

5ft day Kruger National Park Maputo

Breakfast. In the hours to be determined locally, by land transport to

Maputo. Customs formalities at the border. Arrival
