Students Resume for Term 4
Good aernoon Parents and Caregivers,
What an end to week 7 and what an excing week 8 to come! Thank you firstly to all
those who joined us for our CSPS Character Day and to our students and CSPS team
who are increasingly creave in their costumes each year!
Our parade was followed by Katherine's first ever game of Quidditch led by an
Australian Olympic Quidditch player (who lives here in Kathrine!) Emily Davies.
Thank you to the team from Katherine South (and Mr. Hayles) who came to join us
and made this event such incredible fun! Thank you also to Mr. Smith for being a
very realisc ‘golden snitch’.
A huge thank you to all members of the community who both organised and joined
us on Saturday night for our Bi-annual CSPS Trivia Night. From the aucon alone the
school raised over $9,000, with the expected final total to exceed $11,000 on the
night. This is an incredible outcome and my gratude and appreciaon goes out to
all members of the CSPS Fundraising Commi8ee (and their families!) who made this
event possible. A more detailed thank you list can be found on
the following pages as there are so many to say thank you to!
Finally, this week marks our CSPS Choir and Dancers big night
(s)! I will be joining the team in Darwin as our students hit the
stage at the Darwin Entertainment Centre for the 2017 BEAT
Fesval. This is the culminaon of months of hard work and
effort by our students and Mrs. Gadd, Ms. Griffey, Mr. Starr and
our families. If you haven't got your ckets yet, jump onto the
DEC website and
book them quick!
Looking forward to
sharing their
success with you in
the coming weeks.

CasConnect Program
Thank you to those parents who have volunteered
their time to become the FIRST CasConnectors. We
had a very successful meeting on Monday
afternoon to discuss the role and responsibilities of
the job.
We have had a great response from many parents
of our school to provide their contact details. To
make this program a success we need all remaining
forms returned to school as soon as possible. If you
DO NOT want to provide your contact details,
please tick the box at the bottom of the form and
return it to the office.
Our CasConnectors will keep you all posted on
upcoming school news.
Thank you,
CasConnect Team
The CSPS Colour run is NEXT FRIDAY! Don’t
forget you can register your child to receive
fundraising online. Details can be found on the
booklet that was given to all students.
Remember, all fundraising needs to be
completed and submitted to the school by week
10.
The Cas Street Blue Team have made it into the
grand final for the 2nd year in a row! They play
against MacFarlane Primary School and would love
to see as much support as we can give. Please all
available students/teachers come down to the
courts and support the girls. Grand final date and
time will be confirmed soon. They do not play this
Thursday due to the Darwin beat festival.
