The receptive atmosphere at the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ will continue as Rio de Janeiro hosts the world's most important sports event in 2016, the Summer Olympic Games. NewSource Globo is prepared to assist international broadcasters with their news and sports coverage, offering the experience and knowledge of a comprehensive team who is familiar with every corner of Brazil.

Excellence in services provided to international broadcasters began in 2013 at the FIFA Confederations Cup™ and World Youth Day - as NewSource Globo, in cooperation with the AP, became the Host Broadcaster at the event’s International Broadcast Center.

Still in 2013, the agency offered services at the FIFA Final Draw™, reporting to the world the groups and matches of the 2014 FIFA World Cup™.

On New Year's Eve, NewSource Globo provided live feeds and the best location at Copacabana Beach to cover one of the most spectacular fireworks display on the planet. During Carnival 2014 in Rio de Janeiro, NewSource Globo provided exclusive access to the parade and offered live feeds, live stand up positions, studio facilities, production services and special content.

The agency's greatest experience occurred at the 2014 FIFA World Cup™, as it assisted over 80 broadcasters from all over the world, offering live stand up positions and play outs in 13 different cities, producing over 1000 feeds. More than 450 reports were provided, including hard news, sports reports and a special feed during the event.
