VITA

The membership due includes a participation of 0,50 ¤ in the death benefit fund VITA, that guarantees the payment of benefits to the heirs or legal beneficiates in case of the death of a member.

The VITA further reimburses a part of complementary medicine (osteopathy, chiropractic or dietary) fees. The total of the reimbursement per consultation cannot exceed 30 ¤. The number of reimbursed consultations is limited to a max. of 4 per family per trimester.

CMCM

In order to adhere to the CMCM, you must be affiliated with a death benefit fund. As member of the LCGB, you are automatically affiliated to the death benefit fund VITA, which permits a membership in the CMCM.

INSURANCES & COMPLEMENTARY SERVICES

Medicis Hospi

Possibility to join the health insurance MEDICIS HOSPI, a product of the FOYER group that covers the expenses of hospital treatments in Europe.

MEDICIS HOSPI completes the reimbursements of the national health insurance (CNS) as well as the “Caisse Médico-Chirurgicale Mutualiste” (CMCM) in order to guarantee an outstanding coverage. MEDICIS HOSPI is applicable even in absence of a transfer authorisation of the CNS and/or the CMCM.

Harmonie Transfrontaliers

The LCGB and the CFDT have concluded a partnership with the APSTT (« Association pour la Protection Sociale des Travailleurs Transfrontaliers ») in order to grant their members access to the health coverage of “Harmonie transfrontaliers” (the 1st interprofessional health coverage in France) at a preferential rate.

Scholarships

Incentive bonus for superior or university studies are granted by the LCGB to members whose children are enrolled in such studies.

Skills assessment

Assessment of your professional and personal skills as well as you capabilities and motivations in order to establish your strengths or areas for improvement.

This service is provided for new job seekers as well as current employees looking for a professional reorientation.

A skills assessment offers you a better vision of yourself, your competences, your value on the job market and you can benefit from individual coaching sessions in order to further strengthen your position (definition of a new objective, action plan, job applications, etc. …).

* Members benefit from a 200 ¤ (excluding VAT) participation by the LCGB.

Individual coaching

Through individual coaching sessions, you can voice your questions as well as any doubts related to your situation and receive useful guidelines adapted to your needs.

* First session is free of charge (if you have been a LCGB member for at least 5 years). All following sessions will cost the LCGB member 100¤ (excluding VAT).

Job interview simulation

Facing an unknown speaker, a simulation of a job interview enables you to train for such an occasion in professional conditions.

You will receive feedback regarding your verbal and non-verbal communications, your attitude, the quality of your responses, your strengths as well as areas open for improvement.

After such a simulation, you will be better prepared and more confident for your job interview and thus have better chances to succeed.

INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

Dual membership LCGB-CSC

A cooperation agreement between the LCGB and the CSC offers Belgian commuters a dual membership in order to defend their rights.

By paying a single membership fee, you can benefit from the services offered by both trade unions:

Free legal assistance and defence Information, help and support in relation with

all your administrative proceedings (family allowances, pensions, health insurance, etc.…)

The upholding of your rights in Belgium (unemployment, health care, etc….)

INAS / CISL

The INAS (Institut National d’Assistance Sociale) is a service of one of the most important Italian trade unions, the CISL. The INAS offers free assistance to Italian workers in Italy and abroad.

The INAS and the CISL work in close collaboration with the LCGB in order to create a twice a month availability at the LCGB headquarters offering, amongst others, the following services:

Cooperative agreement with the UGT-P

A cooperative agreement with the Portuguese trade union UGT-P (Union générale des travailleurs) helps to:

Better defend the needs and interests of Portuguese employees, whether in Luxembourg or in Portugal

Better protect the rights and the well-being of all working Portuguese nationals, regardless of the country they exercise their professional activities in

Better guarantee the availability of help and services in defending the rights of the immigrant workforce
