The Voges Group is one of the market leaders in electric

motors and foundry in Latin America. With plants located

in Caxias do Sul, State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, the

Voges Group was established in 2008. The history of the

companies headed by the entrepreneur Osvaldo Voges,

however, began in 1992, when Metalcorte Aços Planos

(Flat Steels) was founded.

When opening a steel service center in Serra Gaucha

(Northeast area of the State of Rio Grande do

Sul), Osvaldo Voges joined his enterprising spirit

to the commitment of supplying top quality

raw-materials for the industry. New business

areas were added to the steel company and

in 2003 the first-established Eberle company

was acquired, the Foundry Company.

In 2004, Eberle Electric Motors and the

Reforesting company were also added.

With the need of having a name that could

unify the different business areas, Voges

Group was established in 2008 after

the name of its founder, whose main

units are Voges Fundição (Foundry

Unit) and Voges Motores (Electric

Motors Unit).

The Electric Motors Unit, incorporated to the Voges Group in 2004, supplies single-phase and three-phase industrial electric motors of up to 1000 HP for different applications.

In its industrial park of more than 22 thousand square meters,

Voges Motors produces electric motors for refrigeration

systems, air conditioners, home appliances, pumps and

refrigerating chambers, washing machines and dishwashers, air

moving, irrigation, dehumidifiers, naval and rural applications,

dental and hospital equipment, drainage and water circulation

electric pumps, and others.

Our engineering staff works closely with the customer`s design

area to develop electric motors that suit the requirements

of each application. Application conditions are assessed and

features are dimensioned to ensure high performance and

maximize power efficiency.

Designed to develop single-phase and three-phase

dedicated electric motors, the Engineering and Design

Center of Voges Motors counts on a highly-qualified and

experienced technical staff.

The Solid Edge design tool – which is

integrated to Product Design, Processes

and Tool Shop – enables the solution

devised for the customer to immediately

reach the production stage. Addressing

diversified needs in product lines is also

supported by the ERP SAP platform.

international certifying entities and by its customers. Certified to ISO 9001:2002,

Voges Motors has also been acknowledged by Procel – Programa Nacional de

Conservação de Energia Elétrica (National Electrical Energy Conservation Program) as

a qualified supplier for several sectors. Examples of such a recognition are certifications

awarded by Eletrobrás Termonuclear S/A. (Eletronuclear) and by ONIP – the National

Organization of the Petroleum Industry, which places Voges Motors as a qualified supplier for

nucleoelectric power stations and for the Petroleum Industry.

Electric Motors Units and the project for the utilization

of foundry sand material in paving mixture and in

the manufacturing of concrete artifacts, in a unique

partnership with public authorities and the

University of Caxias do Sul, confirm the Group`s

commitment towards the environment.

These principles have also determined the setup of a

reforesting unit with 526 hectares, 70% of which are

dedicated to the growing of Pinus Taeda and 30% to

interconnected native forest, pursuant

Ibama`s normative directive.
