At a period where the Classical Orchestra of Madeira is giving its utmost contribution to the musical panorama of the Region, also having a serious impact on the Nation as well as internationally, the latest concerts have cer-tainly mirrored the strength of our activity, not just by the artistic proposals that have been introduced, but also by the contribution of internationally acclaimed solo art-ists and maestros, all this allied to the warm response that we get from the public that come and listen to us.For the month of February 2018, we recommend two unmissable concerts: -the Carnival Concert, on the 11th of February, where, conducted by the guest Maestro Pablo Urbina, the orchestra will be discarding its traditional image in order to surprise everybody with irreverence, humor and continuous surprises, but, surely, we will be maintaining our high technical and musical standards, as we are proud to do, in every performance. Also, not to be missed, is the Orchestra Anniversary Concert that will take place on February the 24th, with the collaboration and experience of the Maestro Martin André, also of the virtuous cellist Pavel Gomziakov, where the Orchestra will be presenting two very important works that origi-nate from the romantic period.

We sit near the wonders, staying and waiting, at the mercy of time. We gather our feelings together, we ask questions but remain unsure regarding the answers. but, really, which word best defines “truth”? Apple, dare we think. the colour, the smell when touched, the sound that drags the taste behind it. Which original sin, we over-take the wonders and dive into the unknown lake, always leaving a foot on land, even if both feet have gone in. Out an in, reality and dream, shadow and light.
