A WHO galeria apresenta a exposição de Ilustração de Hélder Oliveira - "INPRESS", nome que remete para o termo "imprensa" e para a impressão em rotativa, enfatizando a ilustração editorial, tão presente no percurso de Hélder Oliveira.
No início da sua carreira, em 2006, começa a colaborar regu-larmente com a revista Visão e com o semanário Expresso.Colaborações essas que se mantêm até hoje.
Hélder Oliveira utiliza uma abordagem multi-disciplinar, onde a criatividade sem limites se alia à técnica. Percebemos no seu trabalho as influências dos grandes mestres do Expressionismo, Cubismo e Surrealismo. Hélder Oliveira valoriza o seu processo
criativo através da fotografia, desenho e pintura digital, recorrendo recentemente à técnica 3D. A sua versatilidade é seguramente um ponto forte na sua carreira de sucesso como Ilustrador, alcançando também o mercado publicitário.
Em apenas 4 anos de carreira já foi merecedor de vários prémios, destacando-se em 2008, a nível nacional, o prémio Stuart El Corte Inglês na categoria de melhor Ilustração para Imprensa e a nível in-ternacional a Medalha de Ouro em Ilustração, no concurso Ibérico da "Society of Newspaper Design". Em 2009 é seleccionado para o conhecido Anuário de Ilustração "Communication Arts".
Hélder Oliveira é representado pela Who desde 2006.
Gallery Who presents the exhibition INPRESS, a term which refers to the word "press" and simultaneously to the technique of rotative printing and emphasizes editorial illustration very much present in the work of Hélder Oliveira.
In 2006, at the beginning of his career, the artist started regularly collaborating with the Visão magazine and the weekly magazine Expresso and has been working for them until today.
Hélder Oliveira employs a multidisciplinary approach to his work, where unlimited creativity merges with technique. In his illustrations we notice the influence of the Old Masters, expression-ism, cubism and surrealism. Hélder Oliveira valorizes his creative
process through photography, drawing and digital painting. More recently, the artist has been using 3D technique. The artist's ver-satility is undoubtedly a strong point in his successful career as an illustrator, which also reached the advertising market.
During only four years of his career, Hélder Oliveira has already won various awards, such as Stuart Award, a significant competi-tion on the national level, where he was awarded in the category The Best Press Illustration 2008. On the international level, he was granted the Golden Medal in Illustration 2008, in an Iberian com-petition by Society of Newspaper Design. A year later he was also selected for the Illustration Annual by Communication Arts.
